A conversion-tuned marketing site, a real-time multi-carrier quoting platform, AI document screening and a customer mobile app, all on infrastructure we run. Next up: an Android app and drone firmware for flight-data integration.
The challenge
VT Insurance writes coverage for commercial drone operators and ag-spray fleets, a specialty market with multiple carriers, FAA paperwork and a lot of manual re-keying. They needed to quote faster, renew without paper chases and win search traffic in a niche where expertise matters.
What we built
Marketing site
Next.js 16 site with insurance-type pages, a drone catalog, partner directory, FAA Part 137 guides and lead magnets, a glossary, a blog and an llms.txt route for AI search. 301-migrated from WordPress, with full JSON-LD schema.
DroneZone quoting portal
Customers get bindable quotes in real time. A rating engine runs inside Postgres, and RabbitMQ workers fetch live quotes from three carrier APIs.
Staff operations portal
RBAC-secured back office for quotes, rates, commissions, partner codes, invoices, endorsements, certificates, CRM sync and reporting.
AI document screening
Renewal uploads (FAA Part 107, Part 137, Form 44807) are OCR'd and classified by self-hosted LLMs before a human ever opens them.
Document generation
Quotes, long forms and certificates rendered to PDF automatically and stored in S3-compatible object storage.
Customer mobile app
A live customer app with policies, claims with uploads, endorsements, a flight log book, pay-as-you-go binding and an AI assistant grounded in each customer's own policy documents.
Lifecycle automation
Temporal workflows run renewals and policy sweeps on schedule, and transactional email goes out automatically.
Next: Android app & drone firmware
Now underway: a dedicated Android app, and firmware that pulls flight data straight from the drone into the flight log book and pay-as-you-go coverage, with no manual entry.
